Default New Muffler

So I went yesterday and finally had a new muffler put on my truck. I had debated on which one to go with as I've heard the V10's are tricky to get to sound right....such as loudness vs quality of sound. So I finally committed to the flowmaster 50 series and also had the "Feline" components taken out of the exhaust system. Well anyway the end result I couldnt be happier with. It sounds real good at idle, and in any gear but overdrive it has a Cummins tone to it, which I found weird, but truly sounds like a Cummins lol and in overdrive on the interstate there is very little cab resonance which is perfect because having a 3 year old daughter I want to be able to drive down the road and still be able to hear her voice lol. But anyways just wanted to share incase there was anyone with a 2nd Gen V10 looking for exhaust ideas.

Alright, I apologize for the delay in getting the pictures and videos up, been very busy and just slipped my mind. But today for whatever reason it dawned on me that I hadnt done that yet...so without further delay here are the pictures and video with the sound. The pictures dont show much except for the muffler and the pipe extension that went in where the cats are now. I didnt do dual exhaust, just kept the stock pipe, so theres really nothing to show...hope you enjoy!

And after seeing the muffler was changing colors and that I didnt like the way the mismatch of the muffler and new pipes I decided to paint it up with some high temp engine paint. You can see the new muffler and pipes when your beside the truck so something needed to be done. Tell me whatcha think.

Sounds good. I have a similar set up on my HEMI. I went with the 3" in and dual 2.5" out, so that I could utilized all of my factory piping. I even kept my stock kitties.

as you can see from the pictures I ran 2 in 1 out on the muffler, I could have ran duals if i had really wanted to...but the shop I took it to showed me it would have been a pain in the rear to bend pipe to fit around the 35 gallon fuel tank, which was ok with me, I think it sounds pretty good for single exit.
