Hahahahahha......

I was meaning 'photographic' evidence. Like, what it looks like with the seat folded forward.

1. Remove the seat. Each side is held down by 4 - 18mm head bolts. I used a breaker bar then a Ratchet.

2. When you fold the seat down, you'll see the clips. I don't have a clear pic of one before cutting. I would recommend using a hacksaw and taping the plastic guide to the metal so it doesn't break like it did on me. If you look closely at the plastic guide, you'll see two ridges. I cut the metal right in line with the second (lower) ridge. This was the perfect length. Cut longer the first time if you're not sure.

3. Reinstall the seat with the back folded down, test it out.

Heres a pic of the seat folded down, in the locked position. You can see how much of the latch is still engaged. That's why I say no worries about safety.

Cheers

Now we're talk'in.

Great mod! A great mod with 'How To', and backed by pix and video evidence.

I have a foxbox.. and the spacers installed.. I will see if I can fold the seat down as soon as I get off work.

I had no idea it was even remotely possible.

Ok so like I said earlier I have the foxbox spacers installed.. and my seat DOES fold down now!

as you lift the seat up about 3/4ths of the way - when the back of the seat is at its highest point, you can pull it right down. No cutting needed.

Not a ton of room back there but I might mount my amp back there now

There is definitely room back there to mount an amp. I think you may run into issues if you run with the seat folded up all the time, because the seat folds into that space. I still think there is a good 3" with the seat folded up, once you remove the bulky insulation.

I'm taking the insulation off, and am going to try design an amp rack that encloses the two vents, while still leaving them functional.

Gonna treat the back wall with Dynamat and 1/2" dynaliner.

What's the size of your seat spacers? Mind taking a measure for those who dont want to cut?

my spacers are made out of wood, about 3/4 inch thick, 2 inch wide and about 12 inches long. just gotta drill the holes for the bolts to pass through and your all set.
