I see. So there are 4 spacers, that basically go from front to back on each seat bracket?

Do you notice any difference in appearance/comfort with the seats raised 3/4"? I'd imagine not.

FWIW I have crawled under the truck to see how much extra the seat/seatbelt hold down bolts have after the threads - to see if you would need to get longer bolts if you did use a spacer.

There is about 3/4"-1" of exposed threads visible under the chassis, so I don't *think* there should be a need to get longer bolts. Something I'd check on just to be sure. It would be dangerous if the bolts were too short and not threaded in fully.

my seats only needed 2 spacers.. if you have the split seat it might be different then mine. I have the single bench seat in the back of my 2010 CC.

Did you mount your amp there? I have the same amp and just did the mod. Now to figure out where to mount the 700.5 amp and MS-8. I don't think both will fit thanks to the vents. I'll have to build a board to mount them I guess?? Let me know how you do yours and vice versa.

I pulled the insulation off and created a roughi template for the rack to fit within the vents etc.

I had enough room for
Massive hd 1600.4
Massive nx2
ms8
Jl audio 500/1
2 ck6 crossovers
Distribution blocks

Frank, I left out the oem insulation from the back wall also. How did you attach your board? Could I ask to get a pic or two of how you have yours mounted.

My plan is to use the top section of the insulation to cover the rear power window motor and cables then cut the bottom off and use it for the template to make a board and mounts. The top mounts will screw into the sheetmetal where gapped just underneath the window and the bottom mount to the seat bolts in an L shaped bracket. I can run the wiring behind the board using the gap and still hide the vents. Sound possible?

Gotta ask how that slant six powers the 2011 Ram?

I installed 3/4" MDF spacers that I fabbed up today and YES the bolts are plenty long enough. I haven't checked if the seats will fold down yet.

I wish Dodge would redesign the back seats on these trucks. I think Fords completely flat carpet floor is just way better. Also, there is no technical reason why our pasenger seat can't fold flat into a hard work space table (like Titans). And while dreaming about better design wouldn't it be amazing if back seats could also be pulled out toward the front to make a cushioned bed. To me back seats should be as low and reclined as possible. The space is there.. it's all about design!

Take for example the RamBox.. its gonna be the envy of the rest. I'm sure Rambox alone might motivate trade ins and turn more than a few Chevy and Ford guys into Ram owners.

Why not have it all?

Wow sounds like you're dreaming of designs lol. Would be cool though...

As far as the ramboxes, they are somewhat unique, but the concept has been around forever (old fords had bed side storage compartments....titans also do I think...
