I've used a bunch of different liners and this stuff is my favorite( I put it on everything! Haha) Upol raptor is really nice too if your actually doing a bed or a big area. Im picky about the texture as well, herculiner has to much of a grit for my taste. I have a friend with it in the tub of his jeep and another with duplicolor in his and for that, herculiner is the better bet I think.
Prep is the biggest part of any of these do it your self liners. Clean, scuff, scuff, scuff some more and wipe it down with alcohol or paint prep spray.
My brother and I both used the stuff that comes in aerosol can. I still have behind the passenger side rear wheel but I used two cans so far (keep in mind it's a quad cab long bed lol) the flares will take a can and I plan to use another for the what I have left and the hitch.
It costs 8 or 9 dollars a can, but again I like the texture of the spray over the roll on in this case.
Funny you mentioned her horrse trailer, the floor of my girlfriends horse trailers floor is actually covered in the rubber that you see on playgrounds lol

Duplicolor makes two bed liners, bed armor and the truck bed coating, I like the truck bed coating better and is what I use

i wonder how much that would weigh. Cost wise they want 1200 up here to do rockers. 475 for a bed, 200 for running boards.

I had Line X sprayed on my box when I bought my truck brand new in 2004 and I've had no problems with it lifting or peeling I'm really happy with it this stuff is tough and it cost me $250.00 at the time that was the whole box under the box rails.

I wouldn't want to use it, the texture would quickly wear out the inside of your pants I think.
Dirtbike plastics are tough, if you spray them with adhesion promoter before you paint them it will help the paint last longer
