No personal experience with them but most people report that they make a pretty big difference in throttle response. Not sure on actual hp gains over stock size pulleys. ATI makes one for the 4.7L I've been eyeballing, it has a better dampener too, so that's a plus, but it's expensive...

I have not yet ventured into the ud pullies yet but have considered it several times. I have heard good and bad about them; the good is freed up horsepower the bad is that it spins your alternator slower so if you have a lot of power consuming devices like audio amps it may cause some issues.

I believe they make pulleys for the alternator to correct this, so the alternator ends up spinning at the same rate as stock.

Thanks for the additional info. I have never heard of those until now. I will definitely be doing some research for my 07.

No problem. If you do it let us know how it works out. I really want to do this along with the mechanical fan delete for my 4.7L, but the only underdrive available (as far as I know) is over $500 (includes the ATI dampener). It would probably benefit to get the better dampener too as I will be running down the track alot, but it's just hard to spend that much money for something like a pulley.

Ive found a 2 piece set for the 5.2s (crank and alternator), wouldnt they cause the alt to spin faster with the smaller pulleys?

Link? It's probably an underdrive crank pulley, and an OVERDRIVE alternator pulley, to keep the alternator spinning at the same rate as stock. Power steering pump and AC compressor will slow a little also, but that doesn't really matter at all, I've never heard of anyone having issues with these. Only heard of issues with the alternator, and it's usually when they don't get the matching pulley and have massive drain on the electrical system (subs, tv,s etc...).
