Default P2106 & p2175

I was pulling my trailer with my quad on a gravel road and when i got back on to the highway the red lighting bolt appeared and i lost all my power and the truck started shifting weird. I pulled over and got two codes P2106 and P2175. Has anyone ever came across this problem before? It goes away when i shut it off and sometimes comes back later on but to disappear again when i shut it off. I have a new air filter in it as well. I also have a throttle body spacer if that helps out. From what i have read it is a TB problem. Thanks

Definitely sounds like a TB issue...I don't know what it could be, I'd start with a good cleaning, then go from there. There should be a TPS and IAC I think those are the only sensors on the TB...

from what i've read, snrusnak is right. The codes are airflow restriction, and a force into limit mode, which is why it was shifting weird, or it stayed in first gear. The truck noticed you were not getting enugh airflow and limited the amount of acceleration, so you wouldn't damage anything. A good cleaning of your air filter, and throttle body should correct the problem, and from what i have seen so far, the throttle body on these trucks get loaded with crud

I'm not positive but I think the first gen hemi TB uses an o-ring as a gasket. If so you could probably reuse it. Let someone else verify that though.

Thanks for all your help guys, i took the tb off and cleaned it as it was caked with black crud. It had actually formed a 3/16 lip around the inside of the tb. and the tb spacer i had installed before was covered and the swirl and grooves were full and was not letting the air to spin down properly. Runs great with way more power.

THANK GOD FOR SEARCH!!!!!!!!
This has been plaguing my truck since last summer and I was convinced it had to do with how I was applying my foot on the highway till it happened after it just idling in place. My father had his replaced under the 7/70. But it was gonna run me about $300 or so But just tackled the beast to find soo much gunk. To top it off, I took some Semichrome polish paste to really shine it up. Night & day with just the first few miles, smooth idle and stronger pickup now.
