Default Crew Cab Custom Desined Stereo + Custom Sub Box

Setup consists of the following components:

Headunit: Pioneer AVH4200DVD 7" Touchscreen w/ video relay
Front Door Speakers: Kicker DS650 6.5" Components
Rear Door Speakers: Kicker DS5250 5.25" Two-Way Speakers
Dash Speakers: Kicker DS350 3.5" Speakers
Subwoofers: 2x MTX Audio 12" Subwoofers
Custom Fiberglass 12" Sub Boxs
Amplifiers: Kicker ZX300.4 (Speakers only), Crunch 2000.2 (Subs only)
4 Gauge Power Wire and Ground Wire
50 Feet of 14 Gauge Speaker wire will be ran for high quality connections
17 Ft. 4 Channel RCA Wiring
4 Gauge Power wire for both amps, and 4 gauge grounds
Dual 4 gauge wire terminals
Removing seats and carpet to sound deaden the entire truck
Speakers will be mounted in MDF on the door, sealed with silicone.

Stay tuned for photos

Removed the rear seat. I will be installing the subwoofer amp here.

Bam!

Conveniently there is a good place to ground the amp, again striving for a professional install look.

As it sits now

Total time into project: 8 hours

I have never attempted anything like this before. I have done my homework and have some bad ass plans.

Idea: Custom fiberglass boxes with 3/4 MDF. When MDF Gets Wet it gets nasty so before I wrap them I will bed line them.
I plan on getting a graphite fleece to match the current carpet in the truck.

Laying down the tape for the fiberglass structure.

Two separate MDF boards mounted together, again this is only the start.

Three layers of MDF total for each box, bottom portion will be fiber-glassed into the bowl leaving a nice base for layer two to seal and mount.
Layer three will be a flush mount for the sub to be installed in.

Third layer will protect the sub from being squished by the rear seats.

Room for just one more layer, fits lovely

I can't believe this was on my rear seats :superhack:

Its 100+ degrees everyday, so not much of an update today.

Starting on the passenger side box.

Speakers and a few other goodies.

The kicker zx350.4, puts out 75 extra watts.

The back wall has several layers in certain areas, combined with the 3/4 inch plywood and 1 inch screws I was able to make a nice mount for the amp. There is plenty of space behind the amp for it to stay cool.
