3 months ago I went to the dealer for the 120 000 km tune up for my truck. They did all the required things chrysler asks for for this tune up. The next morning the truck had problems getting into gear especially reverse. It took the transmission about 5 seconds to engage. I called the dealer and they had no idea what was the problem so I did a search on the net and found out that this was caused by bad installation of transmission oil pump seal. After they fixed the seal, the next day, I was on the road going about 75-80 kph and I noticed that as soon as the transmission goes from 4th to 5th gear, you can feel a vary noticeable vibration coming from the transmission and when you give a bit more gas the vibration get's stronger big time and the whole truck shakes until you floor it and force it to downshift, put it in neutral or change gear yourself. This will happen on soft acceleration only. If you accelerate from stop to 100 KPH half throttle you will notice that at every up shift, the rpm's becomes erratic at around 2500 rpm (goes up and down +- 100) for a couple of seconds and then revs up normally. Also, when you put the cruse at about 80 kph and you go up a small hill, when the transmission want's to down shift it hesitates, the rpm goes up about 200 and goes right back down and does this a few times until you are up the hill or going way to slow that is has no choice to downshift. I also noticed that every time I drive the truck for either 20 ft or 100 km, every time I mobilize the truck and still in DRIVE, the rpm's go down to 500 and the engine struggles not to choke until I put it in neutral or give a little tap on the throttle then it goes right back up to 650.
I really need help here, all the dealer are worthless, they all have no idea what is the problem.
