Long tubes seem preferred as they seem to flow better at higher RPM levels. But there are those who claim shorty headers are the way to go because they improve low end torque. It's one of the questions that's been debated and debated. Funny how the serious racers don't go for shorty headers, now ain't it...

ARH (listed in our vendor section here) can hook you up.

JBA has a set of shorties available as well.

longtubes will make u move ur cats back and have to extend ur o2 sensors, or juss leave ur cats off like i did. shorties most of the time are direct bolt on. long tubes require more work

i deleted them after i finished my install. if you dont have a programmer go to autozone or advance auto parts or place like that and ask them to delete your codes.

and if you o2 sensor is in the direct flow of the exhaust could be running to rich for ur computer. gonna need to get 18mm spark plug non foulers, to put a space between the sensor and the exhaust flow

What brand of shorties would u guys suggest for the most power to dollar value? I have the hemi 06 as well, and would prefer the low end torque. also, how hard is it to do this myself or should i pay a shop? I've done a bunch of bolt ons myself in the past, but not sure exactly whats involved here.

At the end of the day, there isnt much different in any of the heads out there, its all down to personal preference. With long tube headers and a dyno tune you will pick up more hp/tq across the board than you would with shorties.
