Guys! Pretty sure that if you switch to a high angle cv joint, (KORE),you could jack your truck to the moon without any vibration problems. Good luck!

Well I have a 6" lift with bilsteins set at 2.8" and I have very little vibration 0 to 15 mph. If I didnt put the cv's in I will still be ok. So if I do it I will be better then ok but if I dont it wont hurt anything either. I dont plan on going any higher either. I can barely get in it now with my steps lol.

Well the day i tried my 4wd after the bilsteins were installed I must have been on a bumpy road or something. Tried it this morning going home from work and no vibration in 4wd . I locked it in at a stop sign and went about 1/8th of a mile no vibrations. I took it out and when i was almost home doing about 10 mph i locked it in again and no vibration. I am happy now .

thats sweet bighorn but i wish mine never had it but i really need to figure out if its a driveline vibration or if its my tires not balanced correctly cuz its wintertime now and the roads dont get plowed as much as they should and the slight vibration is driving me nuts

I would start wit tires. Then if its not the tires go from there. Even if you do have a vibration it wnt hurt it I wouldnt think.

Is this vibration only in 4x4 on dry pavement?

Hey BigHorn,

The Bilstein 5100's are on my list of mods upon return stateside to level out my truck. Do you think that our existing 6" lifts with thier CV angle adjustments are mitigating the problems with the woble? Seems like all the issues occur when used level stock trucks unless I am missing something.

I would think you guys with 6" + lifts might be mitigating the problems because those kits usually drop the front diff do they not? And the cause of the vibrations are the CV angles.

I have a 2" truxx kit in mine and it shakes pretty good under mild to hard accel in 4x4. Got to investigate further, but its looking like im getting custom mounts made to drop the diff or buying KORE CVs as i want it fixed. Then the arguement is if I'm going to spend $800 on KORE CV's why not spend $1000 on a 6'' Lift instead...

Would really like to get my truck level & use the Bilsteins but don't want to get the vibrations. Anyone recommend any good shops in the Chicagoland area?
