Nice times! Jdustu is on the Dodge Forum but there are others running these times as well. Including a CC Ram with pics and time slips, not to mention a forum member with a Toyota RCSB named socialstar82.

Great idea guys-I'm gonna try holding it in 3rd. I dunno if 3rd will last to 98+ with 17's, but I'll find out.

My Ram never see's 4th, that's on overdrive gear

1-2-2pr-3 every run

28" DR's/3.55's/2800stall

I always use the 2nd prime upshift

the evic doesn't have an indicator for it though so it reads it as 3rd.
and subsequently 3rd actually reads as a "4" on the evic

2nd prime is also used as a kick down (passing gear) when your at highway speeds

545RFE Gear Ratios:

1st 3.00:1
2nd 1.67:1
2nd Prime 1.50:1
3rd 1.00:1
4th 0.75:1
5th 0.67:1

Reverse 3.00:1

Here's a vid I shot last year using my old Bully Dog tuner to test a quarter mile run with my Big 33" street tires, and you can hear the 2nd prime shift

and here's what it looks like on the Tach/EVIC display...

that will be interesting to see, but regardless, your shifting 3x..lose mph/et during shifts. I'll have to take a closer look at my buddy's 4th gen. So you guys have a 1, 2, 3, D, N, R, P on your shifter? The 3rd gens only have 1, 2, D, N, R, P.

The second video was done, by putting it manually in 1st, then holding the handle to the left, for the entire run, correct?
Also, by having it in the Tow / Haul mode?

It appears to shift at 5,600 at WFO. I tried it that way, and I was able to duplicate what was shown in the video.

I plan to make a run with it shifting that way, the next time I go to the track.......no more hanging in 4th gear, for half the track.

Yes both runs with the floor shifter held left for the entire run,
I dont think Tow/Haul changes anything, works with or without.

Those vid's were shot well over a year ago with stock shift points on my Bully Dog tuner
I now shift at around 6400 RPM with my Diablo Trinity 93 tune

My trans and 2nd prime gear are is still holding up well,
and my collection of track slips is up to about 150 now after a little over a year.
....plus many non-track tuner runs.

4G Floor Shift has P R N D -/+
( all forward gears are selectable with the left/right motion on the "simulated" auto-stick in D)
