To get back on Topic,

Here's a few slips from last night (not so good for racing at 3500' DA)
Full street weight, with BakFlip Tonneau and spare on,
90lb ea 305/50R20 Terra Grappler's on stock 20's

5200lb + RCSB 4x4 with 3.55 gears
(first run spun through 1st gear, no traction)
other two were in awd to avoid the lousy prep on the track

...note the reaction times

DA Converted : 13.876/93.96

Quite a bit slower than when I'm in track trim (specs in sig)

There is a 1/4 mile track about 4 miles from my house, which makes it convenient. Also convenient is the fact that I live at low elevation, about 200 feet. During the late fall time, this can make for some good conditions to drag race in.

Any of you guys have 4th gen rcsb 2wd hemi trucks that you've run down the track? My best ever time in the '09 was a 13.72 at 98.6. I should be able to find some timeslips when I get back home this coming week.

I find it odd that the '09 r/t that was magazine tested sometime in '08 only managed a 14.40. I'm guessing either the driver didn't know what he was doing (for example, maybe he didn't know how to effectively use 2nd prime to bridge the gap between 2nd and 3rd gear) or maybe the ambient conditions were really bad. At least one guy has gotten his r/t into the 13.70's stone stock. His screen name was jdustu, though I don't remember what forum he was posting on as it was a couple of years ago.

Anyway, rcsb hemi guys post 'em up!
Very nice time. What was the DA? And jdustu is on NAdodge and not sure where else. My best is a 14.7 @ 87

I dunno the DA, but the actual conditions were around 40 degrees F, little wind, elevation of about 200 feet.

40 at 200' above sea level is very likely running negative DA (yes that's a very good thing)
...add a bit of a tailwind and you would easliy drop 3-4 tenths over most times people post...maybe even more.

Post a slip from any run at any time of year and if your track is registered at Dragtimes you can input the date of your run and it will give you the weather data needed for DA converted numbers.

Oh I agree, it's likely negative. I've run it in the low 60's temperature-wise and managed very high 13's. That would be about a wash so far as the DA correction, or maybe very slightly positive.

I don't frequent many of the forums other than na. This site and DT have both deleted multiple posts with no PMs or convo, just not into that game. DF just doesn't have much to offer. I'm sure this will get deleted too. lol

v8440, I gotta try that. I ran the R/T a lot the first year+, with either me or my buddy driving. Pretty consistent corrected times, we ran in DA from close to 0(where it ran the pair of uncorrected 13.7s at 98-99.8) up to 3500 DA were it was 14.4 @96 on 87 octane with less than 2k on the motor. Everything corrected out to 13.6-13.8.

It took me a while to get use to the autoshift. I screwed up a few runs before I realized it would go into 2nd prime on it's own at WOT but not 3rd,ect. I'd either run it off the limiter or shift past a gear.

I tried putting some 30" tires and running last fall, but it was pretty cool and the truck wouldn't hook...and it would hit the limiter at the top anyways. Not sure, but I'm guessing the short tires tricked the truck into thinking it should be hitting the governor a lot sooner than it should. I don't even know if that's plausible, but that's what it seemed like.

Thought about going nuts with mods, but I'm gonna leave it as is and get another toy. At this point it's not "bone" stock anymore. Catback is off, replaced with two inline bullets.

No vid of the 13.75 @ 99.8 run, but here's the next quickest:

Are there many other 4th gens in the 13s stock? Most I've read have at least a tune to get past 14s.

I need to try the start in second then go into 3rd, I have the column shift though....not the console! My best 3.21 quad run is only 15.3 @ 94.5
