Default 2wd to 4wd conversion/lift questions

I posted something similar a few months back but haven't done anything yet. Truck is a 1996 1500 2wd w/5.9 It basically looks like a low rider compared to the 4wd version. That is the look we are going for. So the question is then, can we just get 1500 4wd coils/springs and shocks to swap out with the old ones? not looking to "lift" it any higher than how the 4x4 stands. Let me know what we need to do, thanks

you can try just a body lift, or a 2-3 leveling kit/suspension kit would do the trick.

Check out fat bobs garage website, they have a bunch of different options for 2wd leveling kits.
Measure from center of your axle on the back wheel and the front and the difference will tell you how high you need to go.
I would think a leveling kit would be alot easier

do a google search on changing the 1500 suspension to 2500 suspension. I found that you can take 2wd 2500 diesel coils and bolt them right up to the front and i'm just gonna put an add a leaf in the rear. But you could put 2500 ram van leaf springs as they are 2.5 inches wide and they will bolt right up.
