Default Throttle body spacer?

I was wondering wether or not a throttle body spacer would do anything for my 2wd 05 5.7 1500? iv herd mixed opinions on them and was wanting to know what yall think about it. and if it is worth doing...what difference would i notice.. thank you

i put one on, and to be honest the only thing i have noticed is the poor man turbo whistle it makes. I don't know if it does anything worthwhile i didn't notice any mileage difference. The common theme seems to be most people on here think they don't do anything.

really...AFE offers a TBS and claims to give anywhere between 2-5Hp gain....i mean i get the concept, it makes the air mix with the fuel better by spinning the air..right???

yeah i have a poweraid one from airaid with about the same claims on the chart, the reason i left mine on was because if they put so much engineering into the CAI and claim they do so much with the spacer as well it must do something...i would hope airaid is reputable enough not to make false claims, but there's the other end of the argument its just a cheap piece of aluminium if it really does 2-5 hp why wouldn't dodge put it on in the first place, seems like to me if they could get that much gain from a cheap part they would to increase their ratings.

tb spacers are worthless on hemi's...or I would have done it already. Only use I had for one I got years ago was for tapping it for a nitrous nozzle..
