Do you have any quarter mile track slips yet? You should be low 13's with that kind of power.

Here's a bud's 10' QC 4x4 (Diablo canned 87 tune, 14" Mufflex) on CCMR's Dyno, 4th gear pull





His best track slip is 14.650 @ 96.50 at 2500' DA (14.211 @ 99.55 DA corrected)
Yeh it was a 3rd gear pull at 5900rpms now 3rd gear is 6400+ rpms

Im thinking high 13's to low 14's is definately not out of the question for me but i have 3.55 gear so we will see.

Im planning on either going to a 1/4 mile track this weekend or installing my new heads,cam,pushrods, and torque converter.

my track bud and I are both on 3.55's too,


Two of my favorite mods that make up for the sh!tty gears really show up on the track slip and not the Dyno sheet:

I would have liked to see what a 3rd gear pull showed for comparison, probably a lot higher HP/TQ in a 1:1 gear instead of .75:1.
but he's the operator and who am I to say how it should be run.

Are those your CMR tuned results? did he not do a before pull for comparison?
Our numbers are pretty close, similar mods, similar tires too.
...but mine was a canned Diablo 93 tune.

I was going to wait to get my headers installed before getting a custom CMR tune.

It was based on a 91 octane tune before he modified it, he did a stock pull and that was 290 hp and 290 tq. It was interesting to watch cause he added fuel in some places and took some out in others. It ended up in a better torque curve that's for sure I can sure notice it when I drive it now. This guy does 4th gear pulls on the hemi's he says it's foR the best but after seeing that other vid of the guy with the 3rd gear pull it kinda makes me wonder. Chris seems so recommended all over I have a hard time doubting him on the 4th gear. Eventually I want to do a cam and headers but that won't be till at least next year so I thought I would do a tune now.

He told me a third gear pull was too short for custom tuning purposes.
I will wait until spring now for headers, and if there's room in the budget I'll get him to do a cam and tune at the same time.

Yikes! that must be for a Cam and "Heads" , not headers

ARH headers ($1600) are not cheap, but they are not that expensive, and an easy bolt-on DIY install.
Cam/Heads and internals I would have installed/tuned professionally by Chris.

Billet Cam is about $600, Heads are between $1600 - $2200 depending if you go just ported or Big Valve heads (parts only)
...that'll get you to $7k easily with labor/tuning.
