Default Describe the bolts in our diff cover please.

I need to change my diff fluid. Last time I did it, I guess I overtorqued (no torque wrench at that time) and snapped one off and bent some others. First I guess I should ask what the torque specs are for these bolts, but also, I want to replace the boogered ones when I take them out (praying they don't try to snap off coming out). I recall not being able to easily find some like our originals last time (could have driven 30 miles and got some I believe) except from the dealer but I didn't want to pay $4 each. I will drive to the bolt place in advance and get several this time, but what threading and length are they? I know they have a 13 mm head. I have a 2003 3500 with the 3.73's, SRW.

The bolts should only be torqued to 30 ft/lbs which is wrist tight plus a small pull of the elbow. I use a torque wrench of course lol. You can pickup up for like 20 bucks at harbor freight or can borrow one from autozone or advanced auto.

I've got a torque wrench now, so no problem. Just have to get a description of the bolts so I don't have to get under the truck and pull one out at the bolt place. Seems like they were class 8 or something like that which was part of the problem in grabbing one.
