Default Blower Motor Fix

The blower for my A/C has been giving me problems. Sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldnt and then it finally just stopped working completely. I checked all of the connections on the bottom of the blower and it still wouldnt work. Then with the key on and the blower knob turned to high i tapped on the bottom of the blower and it started working and has been working fine for 2 days now. So before you go tearing into your dash or taking it in for service you might give this a try.

true, i give my ram a couple of hard wacks under the steering wheel on the dash, and like magic it starts up again. Then in about a month it will stop and repeat the wacking the dash.

Lol you should probly have that looked at if your wacking it under the steering wheel. Kinda sounds like a short and those can lead to other bad things.

I have had a similar problem. The blower would just turn off as I was driving and then come back on again later. I tried tapping on the blower and that didn't work. I tried different combinations of setting on the knobs. Then one day just by chance I changed the position of the steering wheel and it came on. I then lowered the steering wheel and it went off. So know I turn it on and off with the steering wheel.
