Question 2009 FOBIK keys from other than dealer???

Has anyone bought a FOBIK key/remote from someplace other than the dealer - like ebay, or ikeyless.com, etc??

Please let everybody know which sites sell FOBKIKs that work, which sites are not programmable (I hear many of the eBay remote are not programmable).

$150 per remote + $75 programming is too much money to pay|!!

thnx
Mike K

Mike,
I called all of the dealers in my area asking about getting a new FOB Key w/remote start and they all quoted me $130 - $155 programed. Then I called a mobile locksmith. His first question was, "Do you have AAA membership?" "No, but my parents do who are living with me, can I use thier discount?" "Sure, that will be $125 and we will come to you and deliver it."
Can you say Awesome discount! that is the cheapest I have been able to find. With a AAA membership only being $40, it is worth it to even get the membership then save the $125 on the FOB.

I bought mine from Ikeyless.com. I paid $75, and $25 to program at the dealer. Has worked for over a year now, with no problems.

Thanks, that was the info I wanted to see. I just wonder why my dealer thinks to charge $75 to program the Fobik?

because they can, is the thinking
believe me, the better they know you, the cheaper the Labor charges
everyone at my dealership knows me by site & they love the donuts that i take to them on occasion
even 3 of the shuttle drivers know where i live
being as old & ugly as i am helps, sort of hard to forget

By the way, if you buy it through the dealership
the FOB that reads RAM on it, costs more then the exact same FOB that reads DODGE on it. Only the printed brand name is different.
I have 3 FOBs, 2 read Ram, 1 reads Dodge

Whether you buy a FOB from Ikeyless or another website, you should not buy a FOB that is USED, (pre programmed). If it reads RARE, perfect condition, or anything but NEW, it likely has been pre programmed & will likely be useless to you
