Hey guys, I was just kinda curious on something? I'm sure everyone knows that the stock shocks and such can be kind of a bumpy ride, so I was wondering if there is a fairly cheap and simple way of smoothing it out? Would buying higher quality or off-roading shocks do it? Any answers would be welcome.
I am not sure how cheap you are looking for but when I put the leveling kit on my 1500 I put on Bilstien 5100 series shocks and it dramatically changed my ride, it rides like a new truck now. They are a little expensive though I paid just under $400 bucks for them I think I can't remember exactly.
Yeah, I noticed that the back end tends to be pretty stiff. I hate going over CAT tracks up in the mountains because it tends to shudder and fishtail if they are good-sized rivets. That's mainly what I want to try to fix so that I have better control while I'm driving on that stuff.
Ok guys, quick question. Do you have to have a level done to your truck in order to use the Bilstein 1500's? I might decide to go with them when the time comes to buy, but I don't want to have to level my truck just to put on new shocks. This would also be the time to ask if there are any other brands that perform well that are a little cheaper? I just want to have this all figured out so I don't have to do it last minute.
