I really hope you cant wear out the paint by staring at it, i spend most of my days off doing just that... staring at it. I would be washing and waxing it today however Mother Nature has other plans for those of us living in the Mid-Atlantic region this weekend. So for now all i get to do is read the forums until the power goes out and stare at my baby.

I still stare at my Ram, that i bought in February of '09
the burnt orange paint still looks good above the plastic bumpers
the windshield is showing signs of sand blasting
the front passenger door has a dent, not bad but noticeable
the rear bumper has 2 dents that can be seen if you look for them
the front plastic bumper has several small rock chips

I still like to look at my Ram, i am no longer as critical of little imperfections
The truckers all comment on its good looks & that makes me smile

feeling the same way....always outside checking her out!!!
anyone know how to get the black plastic/paint off MY paint (from buddies PORSCHE that decided to trade paint because he thought i was cutting him off in a parking lot even tho we were going opposite ways???@$$0). I've tried just lightly scrubbing while washing no luck...thing having it buffed would do the trick??

A scratch and swirl remover polish will likely do the trick. You will have to put a fair bit of elbow grease into it, and good coat of sealer/wax when your done.
