Default Need a CAI solution!

I have a 2007 5.7L HEMI with a Volant CAI. This issue i am having is I would love to use the RamAir function for this box, but the only option available through Volant are I get the scoop that they offer which eliminates one of my foglights (not cool), or get a new hood with a scoop and the new topper for the Volantt box (wish I could afford). Has anyone made and or seen a custom solution to this?

AirRam has a scope that direct air from the radiator area to the intake of the cai box

That's a good option. Ran one with my old AIRRAM CAI for 4-5 years. Both are actually for sale - $20 for the scoop, $70 for the CAI.

I don't know if anyone has tried this but is there a way to route the intake hose to the bumper and you could get one of those billet lower grilles to allow airflow?

What I saw the other day on a 2500 was a lower scoop in this location (just inside of the fog lites) by AFE.

The lower grill is easy enough to take out. There are several plastic clips that hold the piece in place, don't try to remove them, just cut em off. I think the ducting would have to go under the frame then back up, that's why Volant just runs to the foglight as that is a straight shot.

It will help a little, but not like the "ram air" effect people think about in their head. Plus with the around and down and around again would seem to cause a lot of turbulence

I havent been under the nose of my truck enough to know exactly where, but maing your own cold ram air pickup tube couldnt be that hard to hook it up somewhere in the lower bumper/air dam. Just get creative and take a trip to home depot
