well, got some bad news. on my way home from dropping a buddy off, i was at an intersection, saw a truck turning, started crossing and didnt see the suv on the other side of the truck and t-boned em in the right rear. luckily no one was injured. im sure the insurance will total his lil nissan suv, while i drove away
my home made bumper held up and did its job, just gotta pull it out, replace teh left upright bar, and replace the headlight and grille

pic from the scene, can see teh suv in teh background

sick man! that bumper certain did it's job! glad your Hood you slaved on didn't get smashed.

and glad your OK and nobody was hurt.

side note, now you can upgrade those headlights! hit up eBay for some cheap one piece units, I picked a set of black ones for under 80$

thanks man. yeah glad no one or the hood was injured!
no money for new headlights as im building an engine for it right now (or at least starting to) but luckily i have a spare one sittin right here i can throw in tomorrow

cant get to sleep yet thinking bout this, so i went out grabbed a chain and wraped it around a power pole next to the house and my bumper and pulled it back out. also noticed its shoved over to the right a lil bit (not saprised) so ill have to fix that

went in the house to grab my phone, when i came out i heard this ticking noise under the hood, so i got it open to find this, good thing its a gel battery so there aint acid all over

Haha love those poles! I used one to smash my rear bumper back into place, sort of.... darn fire hydrants have no give and love to pull rear bumpers out at awquard angles.

Daaaaaaammn!!! Glad the truck made it alright, hate to say it but I know the 4th gen's wouldn't hold up like that... they just don't build them like they used to but that's thegovernments fault for saying things need to "crumple" now instead of kicking ass and taking names lol Glad your fabbed up hood is ok and so are you more importantly

battery has a grove worn in it from the power steering pump pully and the negative post got shaved down a lil bit lol

if i had the factory bumper on it, i think my front end woulda been smoked, the bumper deffintly saved it. with how the side bars are at an angle like that, i think it helped deflect the lil suv
