been cleanin the garage all week and i came across a couple hood pins today. gotta get a couple scuff plates and pins now and paint em black since they're pretty beat up. these will be temporary till my next order with jegs

the money i got from the scrap i hauled in the other day i went and bought a few things (head gasket set, 180 t-stat, bypass hose, oil and filter)

look at the intake before the planum pan went on, cut the runners down and smoothed out the edges

i also gasket matched the intake while i was at it

180 t-stat and gasket installed

intake ready to go on

started workin on the heads today, already gasket matched the intake side, started pullin valves to replace seals, and gasket matching the exhaust ports

well i started tearin into the motor today, if it dont rain tomorrow it should hopefully be up and runnin tomorrow night or monday morning

since i had to drain the coolant, i looked at the petcock, and saw iff i opened it up, it would go all over the frame rail, and run down onto my skid plate and sit in there, and there was now way i was takin that off as its mounted under the sway bar, so i looked around and found my trans funnel, wedged it up in there down to a drain pan, and wah-la, not a drip on the frame or the ground

started the tear down, woulda got more pics, but it got dark out, but the right side header it off, intake is off, swapped out the left valve cover so i could paint it, a/c and bracket is removed, power steering pump is off, and any other lil misc things.

couple of the brackets and some bolts painted, was gonna take pics, but the phone died. got both valve covers, fuel rail, right side header, throttle body bracket and coil bracket painted also

heres what i went out to this mornin

so i put on the right side head

so i replaced the left side head, when pullin the header off the damn thing fought me all the way, first the collector bolts were stiff all the way, and one broke, then one the middle studs for the header wouldnt come off, 7/16" wrench was too small and 12mm was too big, so i ended up taking a hammer and chissle to it

also ground down the welds on the inside of the headers for a lil bit better flow

also got the intake and valve covers back on, but again it got to dark for the pics to turn out
