Default Does the 36000/3yr Factory Warr cover paint defects?

Hello all, ..My ram is an 08 and has 27,000mi's. I just noticed that on the top of my passenger door, ...above the window rail, about mid center the paint is peeling about a 2x2'' area, ...literally,Im afraid the whole door will end up this way, ..my Question is, ...Has anybody tried to get any paint work covered under 36,000/3yr factory warr? Im fixing to call the warranty dept this week, ..just Checking if anybody has advise, ..Thx in advance.

I think the warranty does cover that as long as it is a flaw from the mfg. Mine is an 07' and the leather was peeling off of the steering wheel and they replaced that no problem.

Should be covered under the bumper to bumper warranty.

Give it a try, the bumper-to-bumper should cover it.

Not true, the bumper to bumper only covers manufacturing defects and power trian issues and the primer and or paint is not warrantied by them ( already dealt with this issue and Dodge). Now if they are willing to warranty there WORK (craftsmanship) then you might get lucky. I had to take Chrysler to court and prove that they knew the primer was faulty and was the culprit. Dodge already went through a massive law suit some years back for having peeling paint jobs due to primer issues. The court ruled that it was not Chryslers fault but rather the paint distributor at hand. But Chrysler agreed to repaint our NEON just so that we'd leave them alone.......hahahaha

note: the nose had to be repainted 3 times, the paint kept peeling off from the primer being used on that goofy plastic bumper.

Im not possitive about Dodge. I worked at a Chev. dealer and they did. Only if it was a problem from inside out................Not the other way around. Sounds like they put the blame on you if you did something to the outside???????????Made no sense to me and always told the costoumer to keep bitchin until it was resolved.
