Neither. They are wired directly to the battery. It has a special circuit that knows when you start your car and automatically turns them on.

I've been able to find these kits for about $185. Does that sound like about what you've got in yours?

I have the Paramount Grille Insert in my lower grille so I'm going to have to look into fitting these into the lower corners of the upper grille area. Hopefully they'll peek out between the billet bars and I can hide them behind the grille.

Thanks again!
I paid $156.86 when they first came out. I heard that they were going to have a price increase, so I bought them.

Oh okay. Is this circuit exclusive to those lights? Trying to find and easy way to wire in some running lights without having a bunch of wires all over the place.

I don't know where to find the circuit by itself. It comes as part of the package.

The lights look great. Did you have to cut the grill piece or did they just mount on them with screws? Also where did you purchase them at?

I want these too and in the same place but trying to figure out a way to cut that fascia and mount them more flush. I can just see me scrubing the truck with my wash brush and knowcking them off if they stick out.

Digging up an old thread. Anybody got a suggestion on a good way to splice these into the parking lights or headlights so that they dim when the headlights come on.

I ordered the kit and I am looking for this as well. I guess I can just cut on the parking lights and use the test circuit built into the brain. From the videos I saw you unplug the headlight plug, turn on the parking lights, and then touch the 3rd wire to the different pins until a blue led lights up on the brain. Tap into that wire. I would recommend posi-taps over the t-splice they come with.

I just did this install less than a week ago and did a whole write-up on it. Including where and how to splice into the parking light wire.

http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread.php?t=181908

On the 13+ trucks with projectors, the headlight harness on the back of the headlight housing. pin 2 is the parking light wire. Simply tap the dimming wire into that using a wire tap and that's it. Dims whenever you turn the parking lights on.
