All you guys that are or may be interested, please call the companies or email them showing your interest. The more interest there is the more likely they are to follow through and produce the product. I'd buy a set of shorties tomorrow if they were available.

Hey Sean, I got an email form Gibson about a week ago telling me the same thing that you were told through email. And don't bother Edelbrock for headers for the 4.7L, it will never happen. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure Edelbrock is out of the header business period for Dodge trucks. Not sure why. I had a pair of shortys on my '03 HEMI and I loved them. Now you can't find them at all. All Edelbrock shows on their website for Dodge trucks is for the ol 5.2 and 5.9's.

We need to keep the pressure on them I email them at least once a month. Gibson and OBX are the ones I'm "counting on" to pull through with a product. I'd love to have a set soon as I'll prob do my exhaust in the spring and would love to do it all at once. It sounds like gibson would have a product out in a snap if we could just get someone in the area to go down there to get it fitted!

Somewhat of an update. I tried offering my truck up, even though Gibson's page states they want factory condition vehicles. I was turned down but did recieve an email from Robert Murgado at Gibson. He made it sound like they were focusing on the 2012 4.7L only. I hope this is true. If it fits the 2012's, then it will fit any of the current gen 4.7L's.

^ Yeah if it fits the 2012 it should most definitely fit 2009-2011, and likely 2008. I've contacted gibson and obx again and again and have yet to gain any real info from them. I get the typical BS responses everytime.

Good! Keep the pressure on, the more interested shown the more likely they will get produced.

Anyone have any update from gibson?

I've got a lead on a set of shorties that may come into production, I'll know more at the end of the month(they told me to follow up). I hope they make them, I'll buy the first set.
