I have never tried it, but I have heard that on a warm day if you take dry ice and place it directly on the dent and let it "freeze up" a bit, the dent will pop itself out as the metal warms up...this came from a Harley Forum for taking small dings out of gas tanks. Now with dry ice, remember safety precautions.

So where would one get dry ice? Some nincompoop swung their door into mine the other day.... left a dent about the size of a nickel. No matter how far you park from someone, they always find you....

Found a local dealer for the dry ice......

In addition to dry ice dealers that are in your area, you can actually buy dry ice at many major grocery stores. You can also find dry ice at most Wal-Mart Superstores. Try your local grocery stores or ice cream shops first. Then you can try your party supply stores. You can find more information here: http://dryicedirectory.com/...

Make sure you learn how to handle it correctly before you use it!

You could try Pop-a-dent

Disclaimer: I've never used it. I've only seen it in stores, etc. If it's only a small dent like you say, this may work. For $15 bucks it might be worth it. Check your local Wal-marts in the automotive section too. I think that's where I've seen it. If it doesn't work, then you can return it.
Good luck!

the only sure fire way to do it (I would try the above first) is to remove the door panel and pop it out from the inside, preferably with a wooden dowel. this method is the one used by the professionals who do these repairs regularly; however, you can also end up needing to bondo, etc using this method.

thanks for the suggestion. ill try going from the inside. its in a weird place so it might be hard to get to and if i cant..

I'll try the dry ice and let you know how it works. I have a ton of dry ice at work. so it should be no problem to get any.

I'd suggest calling a paintless dent repair guy, they can usually take care of it pretty quick at a reasonable cost.

Doesn't matter how far out you park you come out and some SOB is right beside you and you have a sovenier from his door! I've used a guy in the yellow pages here called dent doctor. see if you have someone like that advertised locally. for a door ding he charges me $20
