Yep! I leave mine in my truck in case I need to use lower grade gas and have to change the tune. But it is a set and forget operation!

^ I leave mine under my seat because of the same reason as Timmy, if I randomly need to tow/haul, or just change fuel grade I'll need to re tune. Also they say if you ever have an issue it will be when you are on a road trip and your tuner is in the garage....so it's beneficial to have it with you just in case. I also use it for data logging/gauges sometimes.

He can't use the Trinity on a 1998 Ram.

So yeah, any tuner you get will sit on the shelf after you load the program to the truck. Which is OK, really, since the key piece of the tuner is on your truck's pcm.
