Hard to see the bubbled area, but it looks huge in person:

Anyone ever have one of these patched and how's it look???

Go figure, I go far out of my way because I've seen this guy's installs on several trucks and know he does good work, and mine gets Fed up...

I'd make him redo it, either bad prep or there's water/moisture trapped under the liner. Line-X has a lifetime warranty to never bubble

Sorry to hear Sean, it always seems like that huh, you go to a place to get a good deal and your vehicle gets the shit end...

Well I'm not gonna make him redo the whole thing, I don't even know if you could get the liner off once it's bonded...it'd be a real PITA. But I will have him fix the bad areas. And if anything happens in the future then that's what the warranty is for...

Just sucks that I went so far out of my way to ensure I got a job done right and paid all the extra gas money and spent the extra time and inconvenience, and this happened. Oh well, shit happens. It'll get fixed in a few weeks when I can get over that way...

How far did you drive to get it done? They can definitely do a good patch job since it's so new

I'm in Orlando, I went to line-x of Brevard which is in Melbourne, about an hour away. There is a line-x in orlando like 15 min away from me. I went to Brevard because I've seen that he does really good installs(dad's, several friend's) so thought it'd be worth it...

When they patch it can you tell? I'm just worried it'll be noticeable or look like a patch job. Or it will bubble in other areas in the future.

My thought though is that since they have such a great warranty, if it bubbles in the future I'll have them strip it all and redo it if it's that bad, or something.....(new bed???? lol).

Well it looks good at least in most spots. Hope the patch goes in clean for ya. Sucks for this to happen, but hey warranties are a great thing to have.

Anyone ever have a spray in patched? Know how they do it or what it'll look like, how it'll hold up? I'd like to be educated before I go in. Can't find much info online, some say they cut it out and respray that area, some say they puncture it and inject it with glue, some say other really random things lol.

Anyone ever deal with this?

As far as I have seen, there are 2 ways to get that fixed, One is they cut it out and re-shoot the spot, seems the fix will not show, but I myself have never had issues with mine and needed fixing. Second is they take a needle syringe and inject a quick set cement in the bubble, then make a small hole to let out the air on one side of the bubble, they flatten out the bubble and let dry, then they touch up the small holes with line-x. But at the end of the day, sure sucks when you lift your toneau cover to find a nice big bubble and you went the extra mile to have it done.

Talked to them again. He is going to meet me there on saturday(they are closed on saturdays) so that helps me out A LOT as far as my schedule goes. He said they will fix it, he said if they can't do a good patch/fix they will strip it and redo it. I'm glad to hear that.
