lol mine or icy's?

I think mine will hold up, I don't beat it as bad as ome of these guys and I am also at a lower power level with the 4.7L(as I'm often reminded ). Even if I have to replace the engine and/or trans once in it's lifetime still way cheaper than several new vehicles.

either one lol the trans has been the same for a while with minor improvements here and there. I did like it better in my old 4.7, I beat the crap out of it for almost 100k miles with no issues.

That's awesome man. I'd love to build up my truck but just don't have the financials. I have been wanting to restore my F100 so I think that's what I'll start doing soon, after a few more mods to the ram. I want to put a built up 460 in the F100 with a 5 speed manual. It's a light truck, and I should be able toget ~600+ hp maybe even 800hp out of a built 460 NA. That'll be a fun ride. Hell it was fun with the built up 300cid inline six I had in it and a 3 speed auto with 2.42 gearing lol. If I ever need to do engine work on the ram I will look into head work, cams, making a set of long tubes, and possibly higher compression, while it's apart. I'm sure I will get at least 200k trouble free miles out of this engine though...

that's f100 is going to be a cool project and yeah I understand on the money Im a highschool football coach so my truck has taken years using 6 different fourms classifieds and ebay. I was also building a motorcycle at the same time which slowed the truck by about 2yrs as I was putting all my spare cash into it. I got it finished last year and then had it stolen wtf but anyway for the last year ive been pushing to get my truck finished.

Yeah money sucks lol. Most of the things I want for the truck are for practicality/function for our use such as cross country trips, etc. There are a few more performance things I want to do that are relatively cheap, too. And a few more cosmetic changes that are relatively cheap too. I'm sure all these things will drag out over a couple more years.

Also have a buell that takes up my time and money but luckily most things on it are very inexpensive lol.

The biggest "problem" is that we are redoing just about everything on our house and doing it all ourselves so that takes up money and a huge amount of time. Right now redoing the bathrooms and the master shower is taking a long long time because we are doing a conventional shower pan liner(MANY steps involved to do correctly lol).

I do hope once done with these bathrooms we can get the ford out of storage and in to the garage and start screwing around with it one day a month or so. It was purchased new by my dad in 1981 and handed down to me. I want to rebuild it with him, I know we'd both enjoy that time.

Sucks about the bike, what was it?

It was a r1 that I got back in 2001 in college then had a buddie crash it he paid to fix it but had to use the money to move for my first job out of school so just patched it up then about few years later the motor went so put in the back yard then about 4 yrs ago I got the itch to ride again and I got a great idea to redo it so I replaced everything but the frame wiring harness and rims put a bad ass built motor in it. I got it finished April of 2012 then my mom got sick so moved from Houston to east Texas to help her out and about 2months later it was stolen there

Yeah true man my moms said they had an angel watching them I'm usely up all night but that night I had made a round trip drive to Houston to get my stuff out of storage (8 hr.) Round trip and when I got back I fell asleep early. Other wise they would have been shot.

Well airlift got back to me today. While their support has not been terrible it also has not been out of this world. But at least I have an option. I was hoping they would just exchange the air bags so I didn't have to rerun all the lines. Well looks like they want me to return the entire kit. They did recommend another kit that has 9" long bags (vs these bags which are 12" long) so that should go well with the 1"-2" drop. Just sucks I'll have to rerun all the lines and everything.
