The only way to "minimize" the glare is to NOT RUN A PNP KIT AT ALL
NO PROJECTORS=NO HIDS

I had a question? How did you get your HID's to function with the DRL's, and what plug and play HID kit did you use? I can't believe I am entertaining this lol, actually I can, my last drive at night was 150 miles of moose laiden highway that hadn't been brushed at the shoulders, it was nerve wracking! Your input would be appreciated.

I'll put it this way. Most ppl here running 8000k pnp kits that blind the shit out of oncoming traffic put little to no light on the road where it's needed. Plus the higher k color you go with the dimmer the light.

I'll bet money that my 4300k hid projectors will make any pnp kit look like a fog light(as in A SINGLE NOT PAIR OF FOG LIGHTS)when it comes to light ON THE ROAD. Plus I light up 6 lanes wide on low beam WITHOUT BLINDING ONCOMING TRAFFIC.

I will dare say that no pnp kit will EVER do that. And I have never been flashed due to blinding glare bc there ain't any.

Let's see a pnp kit look like this.

Hid vs stock halogen glare. Enough said.

Now tell me this ain't blinding: and if you say it is ok, youre full of it.

I totally agree with the tree your barking up here, but be careful to say projectors. Truth is the Recon's, Spyders, etc will not produce an cutoff like yours. The only way to get a perfect cutoff like that is done with retro projectors from Audi, Mercedes, Acura etc. fitted into stock housings. Your also 100% correct in that a pnp kit will not look like that plugged into stock housings, retro'd housings yes.

I'm actually using retrofitted 2010+ Lexus RX350 BiX projectors. So you are right. Egay headlights won't do that but oem hid projectors like mine will.

So...just the projectors are borrowed from the Lexus?, sorry for the redundant questions, you used the ballast and lights of your choice and you had to "build" the projectors into your stock housing, is that correct? I am all for the correct method for HID's, so the big question, how much did it set you back and how ignorant was it to build in the projectors? I did see one website that was offering the whole headlight assembly that would fit the new ram with projectors installed already, but they want $500 bucks. You would have the cost of the lights and ballasts/ ignitors on top of that. I am simply looking for an efficient way to meet the objective.
Thanks,
Otterdriver

It's simple. Cut the reflector to fit the projector and bolt it in then install shroud. Very simple process.
