I was torn on it really, cause I do agree that these trucks are just big vehicles, but from the pics I've seen as long as the tires fill up the wheel well, the smaller wheels can still look good. And I'm old skool and like a pretty beefy tire sidewall rather than a more low pro look. Heres a pic of the wheels in the size I'm talking about wrapped in 35" Dune Grapplers with a leveling kit. After I saw this pic, I knew 17s were what I was after.

Well, I was back and forth on it, and I went ahead and did it. What a pain it was too. Had to bust out the hair dryer.

Debadge complete!

looks good man. i've been swinging back and forth on it too. i have no qualms with removing the tailgate badges like you did (i have the same monstrous Big Horn badge)...but i just can't decide on the door badges. i like the way yours turned out though, it visually makes the truck look bigger IMO.

...and seriously, your cat is a camera whore

I thought it looked a little cluttered after i added the chrome mirror caps and whatnot, so that pushed me over the edge. I'm pleased with it though.

And yeah, the cat can't get enough of the limelight.

Well, as was mentioned above, the bigger wheels do look more proportional and I really wanted to keep my stock wheels...and I did. Got some 275/65R20 Toyo MT's mounted up today. Very happy with it overall. On to the audio.

that looks freaking fantastic. i'm glad you stuck with the 20's they look perfect on your truck. those are some damn heavy tires! 70.6 pounds. i noticed a power decrease with my tires, how are yours working out?

Thanks! Yeah, the more I looked, I just thought the 20s really do look about the right size cause these trucks are so massive anymore. I have noticed a bit, nothing terribly dramatic (youre talking to a guy who once ran 315/75R16s on a 5.3 gmc with 3.73, or 36x13.5 Iroks on a ram with stock 3.55s). But I did have to gas it a bit more than I did before. They ride great though.
