Question Driveability flash for computer

Has anybody here had this done? It was done on the wife's Grand Cherokee (2011), and it cost her a few miles per gallon! It also softened the shifts. I'm one who likes to feel the tranny shift, so this was not good, in my opinion.

Anybody here had this experience?

Do you have a bulletin or TSB number on this flash? Doesn't sound like a good one!

Can't locate the reciept now. Seems I remember a post here a few weeks back from a member that had a performance and driveability flash done, and he loved it! Can't be the same one. I was hoping for some input before I let them do my Ram.

I had TSB 18-023-11 done for the transmission. I've attached it to this post.

I am much happier after the flash. Before the flash, the trans would jump around gears before 4th. It would jump in and out of ECO mode and shudder at times. I guess now that you mention it, the shifts are softer, but before, they were harsh for sure. I haven't noticed any change in gas mileage yet, but will keep an eye on it.

My dealer did the same flash upon my last oil change. They told me it was a required thing. My mileage actually went up dramatically. My highway went from 13 to 20!!!!! I couldn't believe it. Normal town driving went from 9 to 15!
Shifting seemed better too. Not harder, but less searching.

I had it done on my 4.7 and I LOVE IT. Smoother shifts as well as increased power on the higher end of the power band.

Well, the shifts were never what I would consider harsh, but if it's that good of a flash, I will welcome it!!! I'm averaging 16.3 combined highway/city mileage. I hope it gets better when this is completed.

I just brought mine in yesterday for service. They did flash something as well as a windshield foam piece or something like that.....

@EricRN . What month was your truck made. The PDF states trucks made before 2-2011. Mine was 4-2011 and I was wondering if I could use the reflash and get better milage?
