Default anything for gap between tailgate and bed?

I have my bed sprayed with linex mainly because I wanted to be able to haul anything without worrying about the paint inside the bed getting all scratched up and ugly looking. I am interested in getting a load of gravel for my driveway but anytime I have loose stuff in my bed a lot of it falls through the gap between my tailgate and the bed when the tailgate is open and I always feel like its going the scratch the paint on the bumper and outside part of the tailgate. Is there anything made to block that gap?

Not really, but you could look into a BEDRUG on the internet
then make something like it yourself
a piece of carpet, & some velcro

Buy a decent-sized tarp that's long enough to hang over the tailgate. It'll make clean-up that much easier when you get down to the last few inches. Just pull the tarp out and the rest of the gravel with it.

That's what I do. Anytime I'm hauling gravel or mulch, my dad and I will put a tarp down basically over that spot because it's such a pain to get it out of that gap.

I grew up in the country here in Texas and my dad was the president of the Home owners association and he didnt really get much help from the community as far as spreading the rock or with funds for the rock as far as that goes so he came up with a plan to use a tarp and he also hooked a chain through a few old tires in the bed of his truck before the rock was loaded so when it came time to unload he could hook another truck up to the chain and pull most of the rock out of the bed it worked pretty good

Brilliant redneck idea!

When I worked a junkyard in high school we used to have to take loads of scrap metal to the junk pile for crushing, so we'd load it up in the bed of the truck and drive in reverse really fast at the junk pile then slam on the brakes, usually about 75% of the crap would slide out... (I'm not recommending you do this with a nice truck lol)

I didn't really notice the gap until a stick feel in there and I tried to close the tailgate.. and then caught the tailgate as it was falling off the truck. Hating that gap. xsivone, I like that.. might have to pick one up pretty soon.
