Default BT catch can

Thinking about gettin a BT catch can and putting it on my 09 Hemi. Got a few questions. 1. Is it worth it? 2. How hard is it to install? 3. What are the benefits of a catch can? 4. How often would I have to maintain it?

I'll try to answer all your question's.
1. Is it worth it? IMO it is. It's amazing how much oil it prevents from going into the intake.

2. How hard is it to install? Piece of cake as long as you don't use the braided lines like I did. Check out this thread: http://www.ramforumz.com/showthread....350#post348350

3. What are the benefits of a catch can? It catches the oil from the PCV system from going into the intake. From what I've read the oil can actually lower the octane rating of your fuel and unburned oil will pool in the bottom of the intake

4. How often would I have to maintain it? I empty mine approx every 3-4 week's.

Hope this help's

^^^^^^^^^^ Great info!!!!

You only have to check it when you change your oil, but I would look every 1000 miles or so until you figure out how much oil it actually catches!

Call BT direct and they should be able to get you a great deal!

One other thing I should have mentioned is that during the winter months the oil in the catch can is thinner and there's more of it. I'm pretty sure it's a mixture of oil and condensation from the heating and cooling of the aluminum can. Last February I had 1 1/2" of the mixture in 4 weeks. That was the most I ever had in the can.

I ordered mine threw speedlogix , install was cake , I got about 3oz of oil out of it in just a few hundred miles. I got mine with the braided lines but they worked out fine and look good, not sure if speedlogix uses different ones than dgard61 got but I didnt have any problems at all. If I had to do it again, the catch can would be my first mod the day I brought my truck home. Here are some pic , also a pic of the oily TB after just 16,000mi.
