Default ABS/Red brake light coming on

My ABS and red brake light will come on occasionally just driving down the road. I had it scanned and it said ABS main relay open. I didn't see an ABS relay, but found the ABS 40amp fuse. It appeared ok, but I replaced it anyway. That fixed the light for a few days, then it came on again. This time I pulled the fuse out and put it back in. Light went out for a day then came back on. Any ideas what may be causing this?

I used to have the same issue with my F150 back in the day... On the Ford I replaced the ABS sensor on the rear differential and all was good. I'm not familiar with the ABS setup for your particular model, but maybe it's got the same issue??

Someone else told me dodges had issues with the rear abs sensor also. Is that a dealer part?

I just replaced mine a couple of weeks ago. Got the part from my local parts store. Unless you have a lift available I would suggest taking the spare tire out before replacing the sensor; it will allow you more room to work. just my $.02

If the speedometer is working without any issues, it is NOT the RWSS.
Check and/or replace the brake switch for the pedal, assuming the other sensors are ok.

I'm new here BTW.. but not to owning a ram.

Don't think that's right man. The RWSS/ or ABS speed sensor has nothing to do with the speedo. Im quite sure the speedo gets its data from the transmission when determining speed.
