Default Got my exhaust done this morning, sound clip inside

I ended up going with a stainless steel, 40 series delta flow Flowmaster, 3"si/2.25" do. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Nice deep rumble on take off and not bad drone at all at highway speeds. Here is a quick video of it (click the picture) ...

Sounds good, wish the 08 had slots in their rear bumpers for dual out there...had to get out the sides

I had mine installed like 3 days ago as well and noticed a difference both in sound and slight power gain

I can definitely hear the difference. I havent noticed any power gain really, I''m more interested in just not losing MPG, so we'll see.

Hey Mudder, do you think leaving the resonators on and the Delta Flow vs regular 40 series is what keeps the interior low frequency noise down? I ask because I've had the 40 series before on an '03 Ram 5.7 and the cab noise at highway speeds was awful. I want to put a Flowmaster on my new truck but I just don't know which one, I want louder than stock outside but not inside.

Thanks, Mikey

I would say those are definitely contributing factors in it. It's still noticeably louder than stock, but I've had super 40s, original 40s, super 50s and 70 series in the past, and I'd say overall its more comparable to a 3 chamber 50 series from a db stand point. Also, just depends on your speed. Its got a drone at 40-50 but once it downshifts it really isnt bad at all. However, you can definitely hear the MDS messing around so I'm now even more anxiously awaiting a tuner to disable that.

The happiest I've ever been as far as interior resonance was my 50 SUV that I had on my Tundra. It had a nice growl but really no resonance inside. I just wanted to leave the resos in place, but you might need to remove them with that muffler to get the growl you're after.
