I had some hard kick down issues when coming down to a stop and thought it was the Sonnax but it continued when i removed it. Turned out to be low fluid. Sold it anyway and even though i don't really miss it per say i am all for getting as much life as i can out of my transmission. My one concern is having the line pressure increased in reverse.

The person interested in the 2800 is waiting till PD which is the 23rd so i have it on hold until then. So far the 3400 is very mild mannered with no surges on the 120 mile trip home after install.

Why is that a concern(I'm not too knowledgeable on auto transmissions)?

Ok on the converter

I don't think its a concern really cause i think there is a relief valve so it does not go higher than needed. Just not familiar with LP pressures combined w/ the PCM/TCM but also dont monitor it either.

I've had a Sonnax on my truck for almost a year. Have not had any problems and the truck seems to shift a little better. Nothing like the old style shift kits, which would would make the shifts really really firm. You can tell a difference from stock. It took longer to get my fat ass under the truck than it did to install the Sonnax. Would recommend this mod.

For those of you that have installed the Sonnax, how did you reset your CVI/TCM? My programmer (DP) doesn't offer support for that function.

You dont need a "Quick Learn" reprogram, the computer will adjust for the difference in line pressure on its own over a few key cycles and normal day to day driving.
Same thing as when I swapped in a higher stall torque converter, just took a while for the TCM to adapt (about 2-3 days in city traffic)

and you could unplug the battery for a while to reset it I believe. I never do this though I just let it learn through time. I drive so much anyway that it doesn't take long.

x2

only mod you really should to unhook the battery for (IMHO) is if you're welding on your vehicle...like a Y pipe install.

Everything else was plug&play on my truck.

Sonnax instructions even say to just take it easy through shifts a few times, then you can hammer it.
