Some of you may have read about the SS/T and its trans issue and how I traded it in after...
Well, here's what I traded her in on. Now probably the cleanest vehicle I've ever owned...
a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.9 Limited with 72k miles.
Not sure if you guys (and gals
) know of these Jeeps, but, they were one year only, and during their production they were the fastest SUV ever in the world. So...needless to say...fun
Basically, its the same setup that was in my SS/T, but, in a vehicle a few hundred pounds lighter with more gearing and a stock computer tune that requires premium.
But, so far I love it. I miss the ram, but, the fact I'm commanding the same engine makes me feel more at home. Plus...its 4wd for the winters up here. But, for now, I took the front driveshaft out for fuel mileage and have actually broke the 20mpg mark if I take it easy. Or, when I want fun, this thing does some retarded burnouts...hehehe.
So...here's some pictures. I'll be modding it more for street than offroading as its more like the SRT8 Jeep. I'll also stop typing now for you have all probably lost interest in my rambling, just going on and on and on about a Jeep on a Ram Forum. But, hey...at least its still Mopar
When I first got it...
First mods...50mm TB and a CAI.
Then...came the rims
^^^(my favorite) And, yes that says soccer mom from hell...lol
Wheels are American Racing Shelby Special Editions, 18x9 up front and 18x10 in back (yes, staggered wheels on a Jeep...lol) 255/55/18 all the way around, and she'll spin'm.
