Default Going to the dyno but thought of a problem.

Hey guys, going to the dyno Thursday but I thought of a potential problem. Since my truck is governed to 105 mph, how will I rev it all the way out in fourth gear? By the way, I'm stone stock and my buddy is taking his 07 Titan. It has a Nismo intake, offroad B pipes, Magnaflow exhaust and a Superchips tuner running a 93 octane tune and 3 degree timing advance. It ran a 14.9 at 91 mph. It's a 4x4 extended cab. Anyone want to throw some guesses on what the trucks will make?

Also I understand that this may not be the best location for this thread but this section seems to have a lot more traffic than the others. I just need an answer rather quickly and honestly, there are so many different sections that it gets confusing.

Rpm not speed
Your hp curve will be pretty flat from 3500 rpm to 44-4500 rpm With your peak tq number closer to 5500 rpm
Your probably going to see 325 hp and 335ft-lbs plus or minus depending on gears, mods, and weather

Dyno results i have seen are mostly 2nd and 3rd gear runs. Lot of folks run it to the top of 3rd which will go to the limiter.

I call BS on the 325 hp and 335ft-lbs...

It's a Ram with a Hemi... got to be at least eleventy billion horsepower with infinity times two on the torque.

Find out which gear is 1:1 or closest to 1:1.

that take the torque multiplaction from the transmissio gear rations out of the equation as much as possible.

What type of dyno are you going on?

It's a Dynojet. I know you're supposed to use the gear with a 1:1 ratio which is fourth in my truck (third if I let it shift itself). But that gear will go to almost 130 mph. Since my speedo will be climbing (it does when I'm spinning so I assume it will on the dyno) won't it cut off at 105 mph just like on the interstate? Now, I know I can run it a gear low but how much will that affect the numbers?

That's pretty quick for a nissan titan....I'll say 295 rwhp peak for him and 310 rwhp peak for you...that still may be too optimistic...

I believe the 2012 has the "6 speed" right? So yes your 4th gear would be 1:1. You should really be able to run in any gear and they can take that gear ratio and compensate for it. Your 3rd gear ratio would be 1.5:1

Haha, I hope I beat him. It is quick though, it simply ran away from my 07 Hemi. It was a quad cab 4x4 but it was no comparison. The Titan definitely delivers more than expected.
Yeah, I'll run it in third and tell the guy what the ratio is and hopefully he can correct it. My buddy is going to run the Titan in 3rd once too (1.52:1) just to make sure we have comparable numbers. Thanks for the help.
