Default igniton key sticking in ignition

i have a 2011 ram st reg cab. manual door locks. it has about 500 miles on it and is about 3 weeks old. i noticed on 2 or 3 occasions that the ignition key seems to stick in the igniton when i try and remove it. its all the way off and i cant turn it anymore. i was thinking about a few drops of liquid graphite however the ignition is something i never seen before and before i use the graphite i wanna be sure i dont mess anything up. maybe just a few drops on the key and then stick the key in instead of putting it directly into the igniton itself? any help is appreciated.

Hi, I had the same problem with mine. Found that the shift lever hadn't gone all the way into the lock position. By pressing it further and making sure it was fully in Park I had no issues. Hope this helps.

2011 1500 ST Crew here.

Mine does the same thing. I found jiggling the shift lever a bit helps to release the key.

I had the same problem. I had a small wire for my phone charger got in front of the shifter and did now allow it to go fully into park. Man did I feel dum when I figured out what I had done. I hope yours is a simple fix like mine was.

Just turn the truck back on. shift into drive then back into park and turn the ignition off. The key should pop out.

Had the same issues with mine.
