Has anybody notice a difference driving between the old converter and the new?

I'm taking mine in Friday for this. How did you explain it so they would understand?

After my TC replacement the absence of the howl/grind noise was most welcome. Also, the vibration which I felt in the gas pedal was gone.

IMO, it was like taking delivery of the truck all over again, but this time there wasn't a defect in the drive train. Now I am able to enjoy driving it.

I had the TC replaced last week, yes I noticed a differance. Now the shift points are firmer and overall the truck feels more responsive, all good.

Man I wish my dealership would just get on track. I've sent it to them and I'm still getting the "Thats normal" routine. Any documentation such as a case number to reference would be greatly appreciated. It probably doesn't help that this is their first year selling dodge/ram. They were a chrysler Jeep dealership before getting dodge and ram.

I dont have a referance number for you, but my service advisor told me the other day that was a bullitin out about the noise and TC issue.
Keep trying and good luck.

Guys, I have a document that the tech gave me today. It's called a "Star Case" with chrysler. It's case number is S1121000005. The release date was 6/30/11. Apparently this is what they issue before TSB's and recalls are issued. I'm having upload problems but here is the link to the picture on photo bucket-http://s1223.photobucket.com/albums/...927_225333.jpg

This should help a lot! Got my truck back today with a re-manufactured tq. converter and no grinding noise!

Its pretty loud. Put the truck in tow mode if you have that option, it seems to make the noise come on faster. I just drove around and let the trans shift easy and keep it around 35-40 mph and around 1400-1600 rpm.

Anyone with this torque converter issue should print the information off the link that Rammin88 provided in his above reply.

A wealth of information that he has provided that should, if dealer is somewhat competent, eliminate a lot of guess work.

Thanks for info., Rammin88
