turn counter clockwise. If you have a slotted top cover, just get a pair of needle nose pliers, one tang in each slot and turn counter clockwise.

I took the slotted cover off but does the actual black part of the antenna just screw off?

I am replacing it with a short aftermarket antenna. With the lift I have the stock antenna hits the top of the garage and over time it has deteriorated so I had to replace it.

Does anyone know how to remove the entire antenna? Not just the part the unscrews but how to get to the wire?

Hey guys, I have the chrome cap off, however the little black piece, which is obviousily attached to the antenna, wont see to budge? How much force should I use? So I vice grip on the black piece and turn counter clockwise??
