Your car is so nice..Still debating on the drifting thing though because I'm so picky how my vehicles look like and I know how beat up a drift car gets...maybe just a little in the parking lot events but other than that I'm not very comfortable sliding near a wall at 100+ lol

Yea no problem, I see your "Armed Forces" badge, what do you do?

By the way the motor is finally in ..those nut extractor sockets work wonders. I will post some pictures when my wife decides to e-mail them to me lol

Wow! that makes three of us!

I too have a 400+ rwhp 240sx and due to my light weight I've yet to run into a street car that can best my little Nissan, I have already embarrassed plenty of C6 corvettes, porches, one time even a F430. You are in for a treat! Fastest car I ran into was some guy with a factory 5 ac cobra replica and he was at my rear bumper.

Once engine is broken down I highly suggest you run E85 if available in your area. My current Setup is a T3/T04r turbo ball bearing 57 trim, maxed out 850 cc injectors double walbro fuel pumps (very easy to setup.) timing that is significantly advanced with the tune as well, I had a built engine and right now I have a stock blocked engine running crazy boost and timing for 18+ months and I credit its longevity due to the E85.

I been dealing with S chassis for 8 years almost 9, let me know if you have any questions or feedback!

Here are the pictures I promised ...The semi solid motor mounts where a pain to get aligned but other than that it was very easy to drop it in.

Now to figure out all the wiring. I will tuck in as much wiring as I can to make it look clean and maybe even relocate the fuse box, we'll see.

The only fast cars you see here in Utah are STI's and some EVO's but I can't wait what a 5 thousand dollar car can do compared to their nearly 30k car lol.

Sadly no E85 around where I live, but I hear good things about it from a friend back in texas with a 600+ AWHP Eagle Talon.

When it's broken in and the exterior looks like I want it to I'm thinking about going with a GT30 or an equivalent size Tomei Arms kit with some good size injectors and go from there, as or right now the only thing that I think is weak on the block and will hold me back from big numbers is the non-sleeved cylinders but Im sure I'll get to that eventually.

Any pictures of your 240?

SR20 parts are very inexpensive compared to the RB25 I was originally planning on going with so I'm sure you won't keep it stock for long lol.

You do not need to sleve the block at all unless you plan on going over 800 rwhp. This motor is extremely stout from the factory, in fact people have put 600 rwhp with the stock bottom end, and just a head gasket, and multiple multiple people daily drive this thing at well over 400 rwhp bone stock. With the turbo you mention and fueling those will be the limiting factor well before the block is.

You would need a GT42 or bigger before non sleeved block becomes an issue. As for the injectors, I have 850cc sard injectors and that is what is limiting me from big power, granted if you go with race gas instead of E85 you will have more leeway, but I would go with a top rail kit and bosch style injectors if E85 even becomes a possibility.

as for pics..

very ugly but functional!

Paint is next, (after certain reliability mods like perhaps and oil cooler..) don't plan to make it too pretty as this car will get abused at the track.

PS if stock Evos and STIs are your target, you can probably beat some of them with the stock turbo, bigger injectors (550cc or bigger) Z32 maf and wastegate line pulled. I had that setup 4 years ago and it was like driving a 350! Max power at 4000-4500 rpms 19 psi on stock turbo at 2000 rpms and it would fall flat on its face after 5000 rpms, lol. When I did this, I considered the turbo expendable lol!
