I don't know if this would affect your times, but you should not have had to adjust your tire size in the tuning especially if they are stock tires. SC tire size will read around 30.0 or 30.5 for 31.5" tires but what ever it is you should leave it at SC stock tire settings for factory size tires. edit: Same goes for your ring gear, leave it at the factory settings if it is indeed the gear that came with it. I can't see anything that would affect your times that bad other than a misscalculation somewhere, hopefully this is causing it. That's just a hunch, good luck!

are your tires the same size as stock? if they are a different size then you would have to adjust for them....right?

the thing that led me to check all those things was that my truck was approaching its 90k and my mileage was getting really bad, around 9 avg. i would drive another ram same year and feel a bit of a difference. i never recorded any times but i do know that after i got everything cleaned up changed and installed the CAI, muff and Y i could chirp those tires without trying. i never used to be able to get a good spin on dry pavement and now they scream in second gear if i open it up. i also just installed the sonnax line pressure booster and so far it is working out great. i really think you are going to get a lot out of the TB cleaning if it hasnt been done before.

BadHazard, an email with the shift schedule has been sent your way. Let me know any questions or problems you have.

Is this SC 0 to 60 times or from the race track? I'm assuming that SC calculations could be off in gear/tire size ratios causing miss calculations in times. You need to leave the gear ratio and tire size settings alone if they are stock. SC has your vin with the correct info with the correct settings. I'm just sugesting that you at least start from their stock gear and tire settings and go from there to eliminate that possibility. If my truck needed a tune up, I would know and hopefully you would with yours. So if it doesn't run bad, miss out or have any flat spots, I don't think even a tune up will result in an extra 2 sec off your time. That being said, any first to second shift schedule around 5950 to 6100 and second to third around 5950 to 6000 should result in much better time than what you are showing. Im at 6100 from first to second and 6000 from second to third which works fine for me. You should at least be at 6000 for first to second and 5950 for second to third and 6400 redline. If you are, no other shift schedule is going to help imo. It's very possible that your TB/intake is dirty and you need a tune up, but I don't think that alone would be enough...something seems wrong somewhere in SC settings. EDIT: It would help some if you had a freind with the same truck and tuner to race and match each others times to help resolve it. I'm just saying, are those times correct and is something wrong with your tuner? Have you physically checked to see if you have a 3.55 gear ratio...you did buy it used? What speed and rpm are you at when you shift to second? I'm at 58mph/6100rpms when shifting to second with 3.92 gears/31.5 tire height.

I bought it used. I have 3.55 gears. My tires measure 31.5" tall. The stock SC is 30.25. The times are recorded via SC. I recently adjusted my shift points, we'll see if that will knock down some time. It seems like you can almost get to 60 in 1st. But in my case 3 seconds to get that extra 10mph. Ill pull the TB tomorrow and see what it looks like.

Then 30.25 is where it is supposed to be and I hope that's where you have it. (that's where mine is set and I have 31.5 " tires too) Also, is it possible that ur timer is starting before you launch? The next time you do ur test run do not power brake it. Hold the brake with as little effort as you can without it moving and with as little rpms, say 900. You do not want ur tire to spin, it may trick the timer into starting before ur ready to launch. When ur ready to launch nail it and let off the brake right away. That is the best way to launch these trucks with stock converters. Power braking too high will confuse ur timing/pcm and slow ur reaction time. I know that may sound stupid or far fetched, I'm just trying to help.

^ yeah I think the computer pulls timing if you power brake and it will slow you down.

Radio: Why are you suggesting he not change the tire size? Am I missing something? Doesn't that change need to be accounted for?

I know my transmission settings are working, Is it possible that the actual tune is not taking place? And maybe something is wrong with the tuner? And the difference in my times are due to different shifting points? Thoughts?

My TB wasnt that bad, I cleaned it all up tho.
