Awesome man, you need to get that beast to the track! Im going with a crate LS 376/480 with hot cam engine. Im not really looking for a 9 second monster (at the moment), just a fast clean street car.

Yes, I did flip them. I had added some to an older Ram and noticed the need to flip them. Thanks for bringing it up though.

I agree with CTYHNTR - about 30% blocked out. I did it for any little extra I can get when out on the dark country road or the occasional off road trip.

can you snap a pic with the lights off and the covers off behind the grille. I blacked out the front of my truck and need to add some lights to recover from the black out head light covers. I don't want 2 big shiny chrome lights that stand out behind the grille for my truck. Was hoping the black magics would be the answer.
Thanks

Ill try to do that, but I can tell you they are barely noticeable behind the grille when they are turned off. I think that was the point of these lights, so they can be kind of stealthy when they are turned off and that was the look I was going for.

I ordered mine and they should be here next week. Did you ever see if you could flip the lenses? I noticed on one webpage the product description was it was an upright mount. I've seen on other forums that they say upright mount because water drainage is at the "bottom". I can't find a definite answer on if the light pattern is different up or down.

Yeah the lenses dont flip, the glass is made in a way that prevents it from being mounted any other way. So you may have to mount them on the bottom instead. I left mine where they are, works well enough for my purposes. But the pattern is different so it may bother you, although in all honsty if you want perfect lighting you probably would mount them on a light bar instead.

As for water drainage I don't know about that, but I live in seattle with all the rain we get here I haven't had any issues. I cant even remember seeing a drain hole anywhere. Hope that helps!

Ok, mine came in today and they have some sort of weird wiring that I can't figure out. It says I have to slice into my headlight harness. I don't want to do that. Anyone who bought these help?

Can I just run the green wire back to the battery instead of tapping into the headlight harness?
