I'll get ahold of you if I come across any complications, it just needs to stop raining here, hard to paint in a canoe! lol!

You found the paint at your local autoparts place I assume? (Advance Auto, Autozone, etc..)

Well, got the color matching done without nearly any hitches. The biggest problem I had was trying to reattach the rear nut on the rear door handles. It was so impossible to get to, I did manage to lose two of them, however a quick stop at Home Depot fixed that.

Yeah Hemi! Your steps were right on! I didn't wet sand as much as you did I think, but they turned out real smooth! A great mod! Easy to do even when your drunk! (which I was!)

I was a little worried at first, you probably didn't have this problem because your is black, but my color was quite a bit off after the first few coats of paint. However, after 3 coats of clear coat, the color darkened up to be damn near spot on to the OEM color. Bottom line is that the mod makes the truck look SO much better!

Hey man, that's what we are here for! It looks GREAT! Did you take your mirror apart because it looks like it. Right now as we speak, I'm painting my windshield wiper cowl.

I didn't take my mirror apart, to be honest, i'm really good with the spray paint. I can't tell you how much I painted on my car... it's staggering.

I actually had the same idea to paint the wiper cowl as well after I got my mirrors and handles back on. How difficult is it to get that cowl off?

I may to the cowl now too, I think I have enough paint left over from my mirrors.
