Well since the lockup solenoid didn't do it I'm back to the ignition pickup in the distributor.

yea im dead on an ignition problem because it does it at any given time. it didnt do it alllll day today then it just randomly does it.
rain or shine. haulin ass or savin gas its gotta be that. im gonna plug it in one more time tommarow and see what comes up.

Reminds me of the Hall Effect (ignition pickup in distributor on pre-Magnum fuel injected Dodges). When it's going bad it'll fail randomly, usually at a most embarrassing moment. Sit a few minutes, then it'll start again. Will light back up going down the road just like you were saying. Just gets worse til it quits. Not exactly the same part in design, but shares a common function.

i just replaced the pickup coil in the distributor and so far it hasnt done it so ill let u guys know in a day or two if that was it!

hey guys sorry its been more than a couple days lol. but uhhhh bad news for the ram. transfer case is on its last note... and i cant drive it more than a half hour with out it goin.... gssshhhhhhhhh eerrrhhhhdhghgghghghdskh;g clunk............lol. and for the pickup coil i thaught it was it for sure this time it didnt cut out for a couple days and when i was driving it to further investigate the transfer case problem it cut out again. but then again it could be something else this time like a plug wire. they havent been replaced in a while soo thats my update guys.
