This page also has the other goodies to help making the trans live without taking it out.
the 2nd gear billet kit deal gets you the good stuff except the servo.
Unfortunately trans has to dome out for the front band to be replaced it it wasn't for that life would be great.

Didn't have the funds for the kit...but I did order the accumulator and the servo...they said that sould fix me up!

Thanks again!

Ok...got an undate:

I bought the "stuff" from DTT...2nd accuator and the servos. I thought it was a bit a cheap of them to not send all the sealing rings. I called and they told me "just use the old one"...WTF?

Any way I installed them Thursday night and pulled the trailer Friday. I adjusted the bands too. The transmission is still not shifting exactly right, but much better than before.

It still will not hold a secord shift if lean into the throttles after the 2nd gear shift...any! Does fine of your over 28mph, below that you have to be very careful with the throttle.

Default 2004 ram fourth gear shift issues

hi ,
im new here and this is my first attempt at posting I hope I am in the rite place . I have an 2004 dodge ram 1500 4x4 with a 5 speed auto trans and 5.7 hemi. I feel that there may be a problem with the trans because of the strange way it shifts into fourth gear it almost feels like it shifts a few times sluggishly after the initial 4th shift then it goes to 5th 1- 3 feel strong then when it goes to 4th it is strong then almost immediately is feels like it has someone slowly letting there foot off a manuel clutch .
has anyone else ever seen this ?
thanks ,
GEO
