Default How do I remove tint?

I want to remove the old, bubbled tint on my truck. What's the best & easiest way to remove it?

Easiest and cheapest way, scrape it with a razor scraper to get a tab up so you can pull it off, then use straight ammonia and spray it on to desolve the glue and scrape/wipe it off when it softens. A gallon of store brand/off brand ammonia is $2 at schnucks maybe wal-mart? More expensive way is buy the tint remover kit at the auto parts store and basically do the same thing. Use alot of ventilation ( fans ) and dont breathe the high concentration of ammonia inside the truck, keep all windows open that you are not working with ( do one at a time )
Thats the way I have always done it and the windows are squeeky clean when finnished, ready for new tint or just as they are.

I'll give that a try. I saw the tint remover solution at Walmart for $8, which seemed expensive to me. $2 for ammonia is more in my price range.

The tint is all bubbled up and wavy on one side which makes it nearly impossible to see out. Good thing it's been in the 70's and beautiful around here so I can ride with the windows open.
